2017 - From Intern to Director


On July 17, 2017 I registered with the Chamber of Commerce, which quickly became the start of my journey. As an intern, I was already so enterprising that I became a partner and when the owner suffered a burnout, I took over her clients and set up my own home care. That involved a lot of responsibility. The first year I really ended up in the rat race. I worked every weekend and it was never enough. That had to be different.


2018 - My business automated


The home care company ran without me after 1 year. My team ran this independently, because I had automated everything. Then I started to develop another passion and that was my passion for beauty. I opened a salon at home. Here I did facial treatments, PMU and rented out my chair occasionally. I also attended trade fairs and advised other beauty entrepreneurs on how to successfully attract customers and increase their prices.


2019 - Successfully ran a beauty salon


I really enjoyed the beauty profession and really did it as a passion, which I think is the main reason for a successful company. As long as you're doing something you're passionate about, you're willing to give your customer the best experience. I looked for a marketing company to help me acquire customers, at the time it was Treatwell and once I had regular customers I had my own system built. I later rented out a chair at my home, then COVID-19 came into play and I had to close. After that I continued in the home care industry.


2020 - Employee in my own company


From 2017 to 2020 I hardly had a weekend off as a director/manager/beauty salon owner and much more. Then I decided to outsource my work and because of the high turnover I set up a BV, with supervisors, a supervisory board and I hired self-employed people externally.


2021 - A good network


My mediation agency was also automated after 6 months, through a collaboration with a company that did the on- and offboarding and we had also built an app with login for the contractors and clients. The company had a lot of profit and hardly any costs. With all the time I suddenly had left, I decided to expand my network. I joined several networking clubs and networked throughout the country and abroad.


2022 - Company successfully sold


After more than 9 months I sold my company to two investors and because I had to make my company marketable, I learned how to work less on your business and more on your business. The company had to be set up in such a way that if I were no longer there, so to speak, it could continue to run. By selling this company I know exactly how you can work less IN your company and more ON your company. I did this in 3 months, but I also already had a large network and I put my ego aside.


2023- Takeover and reorganization

 

After writing a good pitch, no fewer than 2,000 people invested in my takeover. There I still had to win the trust of new employees and customers. Effective communication and transparency are important for this. In addition to those two things, a safe workplace is also very important. At the time, the home care industry was still very old-fashioned; self-management or automation hardly occurred. So with my vision we automated everything and I created a self-managing team.


2024 - Coaching for the High-Woman


I became a mother in December 2023 and during my pregnancy I had plenty of time to return inside. I helped many large companies and sent quotes of 40k after a 5 minute conversation. Quotations of 100k also went smoothly, but I started putting my ideal business case on paper and I discovered that I only wanted to work with women. Women have a completely different energy. I teach you to work on your business and to allow yourself to be carried, whether by those around you or whatever. You are worth it.

Above I have placed the highlights of my entrepreneurial journey of the past 7 years. Actually, for me it's all about decisiveness and faith. Turning every "failure" into a strength and reading all the ways, I have now started helping others with legal documents, financing a business, pitch training, communication training and much more. The scale-up method just makes me very happy, so that you no longer have to work IN your company, but work ON your company and so that your company really WORKS FOR YOU.



Over the past year I have been able to help many entrepreneurs scale up/make their business ready for sale and with my entrepreneurial journey, I see the bigger picture and I also know what to take into account.
